Job summary

The Houston-based Energy Client Coverage Team at Societe Generale is seeking an IB Analyst to support the origination and execution of transactions across Energy Transition and Oil & Gas sectors. You will work with CFOs, Treasury teams, and SG colleagues to prepare pitch books, memos, and financial models, and to monitor deal progress and client profitability.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in finance and global capital markets.
• 1–3 years of work experience in investment banking, accounting, asset management, or consulting.
• Course work in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Statistics, Financial Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Pitch presentations and binding for client opportunities.
• Pre-screening and support memos with business cases and profitability analysis.
• Profitability analysis and advanced Excel modeling for prospective transactions.
• Acquisition finance modeling (three-statement, DCF, merger, consolidation).
• Client onboarding and KYC documentation.
• Sector studies and internal coverage reports.
• Interaction with product specialists on client initiatives.
• Tracking live deals and communications with clients.
