Job summary

Ardmore Roderick in Chicago, IL is seeking a Summer 2027 Energy and Utilities Intern to join our infrastructure solutions team. You will support project teams with data entry, schedule reviews, and meetings, gaining hands-on experience in civil, electrical, and project management aspects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a four-year engineering or construction management degree, proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable communicating in writing and speaking.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or Project Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Team-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Prior internship experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in data entry and tracking duties.
• Assist Program team in project delivery, reviewing schedules and budgets.
• Participate in project and department meetings.
• Collaborate with project team members and learn the E&U industry.
• Provide Supervisor with weekly updates on responsibilities.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Summer 2027 Energy and Utilities Intern to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As an Energy and Utilities Intern, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago, IL office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in various data entry and tracking duties
• Assist Program team in project delivery, reviewing schedules and budgets
• Participate in project meetings as well as department meetings
• Collaborate with other project team members and learn the E&U industry
• Provide Supervisor with weekly updates on job responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or Project Engineering from an accredited university
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
• Have good to great organizational skills
