Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced Energy Analyst to join the Infrastructure Data Center (IDC) Energy team, responsible for energy strategy, commercial and clean energy procurement, and energy portfolio management across Meta's expanding global data center footprint.

You will provide analytical expertise informing site selection, energy procurement decisions, long-term capacity planning, and financial governance, collaborating across Finance, Accounting, and Infrastructure to support data-driven

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on wholesale or retail rate analysis, load forecasting, or energy market analytics
  • Experience analyzing electric utility tariffs, wholesale energy market data, and renewable energy structures
  • Experience applying quantitative and financial modeling methodologies to evaluate energy market risks and opportunities
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, or Infrastructure teams to support data-driven business decisions
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent analytical workstreams to meet project deadlines
  • Familiarity with renewable energy procurement structures, including power purchase agreements and renewable energy certificates
  • Experience working with large energy consumers, electric utilities, energy service providers, or energy consultancies in a data center or industrial context
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience coding in Python, SQL, or similar languages to automate data processing and build analytical pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience creating AI-native tooling and dashboards

Meta is seeking an experienced Energy Analyst to join the Infrastructure Data Center (IDC) Energy team, which is responsible for energy strategy, commercial and clean energy procurement, and energy portfolio management across Meta's rapidly expanding global data center portfolio. In this role, you will provide analytical expertise that directly informs site selection, energy procurement decisions, long-term capacity planning, and financial governance.

  • 6+ years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on wholesale or retail rate analysis, load forecasting, or energy market analytics
