What you'll be doing:
  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking. This is a HUNTING sales role.
  2. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, foster long-term partnerships, and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals.
  3. Client Consultations: Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and how 5 can best serve them.
  4. Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  5. Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, effectively communicating the benefits of energy products and services to potential clients with an executive-level presence.
  6. Negotiation and Closing: Address client concerns and objections skillfully to close sales and meet revenue targets.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as operations and management to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with business goals.
  8. CRM Management: Use CRM tools like HubSpot to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process.
What you'll bring:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the energy industry (retail gas/electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a related field.
  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
  • Ability to work autonomously with resilience and determination, while embracing a team-oriented sales process.
  • Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to drive sales independently.
  • Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $175,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience and skills.
Compensation: Uncapped commission potential, with top performers earning well above the base salary. Compensation packages are tailored to individual backgrounds and goals.
