Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Energetics Engineer to join its engineering team. This role is ideal for a subject matter expert in the development, qualification, and lifecycle support of aerospace-related pyrotechnic and energetic components such as gas generators, initiators, and igniters. You will play a key role in ensuring these critical components meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements for advanced aerospace propulsion systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage technical requirements, specifications, and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Interpret and apply applicable government regulations, safety standards, and certification requirements
  • Lead component and propellant design, analysis, and manufacturing support activities
  • Plan, execute, and analyze development and qualification testing programs
  • Prepare, document, and communicate test plans, procedures, and technical reports
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the development and qualification of energetic or pyrotechnic components
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering, science, or technical discipline
  • Strong understanding of Requirements Verification and Validation processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong written communication skills with experience preparing technical documentation
  • Familiarity with ammunition and explosive certification processes and standards
