Job summary

Omaha Kroc Center seeks a Tai Chi Instructor Substitute to teach safe, multi-level fitness classes in aquatics and/or land formats. The role emphasizes friendly, relationship‑oriented service in a Christ-centered community.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Tai Chi certification and CPR/First Aid within 90 days. Preference for English fluency and prior group instruction experience.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required; Spanish language skills helpful.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team.
• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters
• General computer knowledge to access payroll/timekeeping via a web-based system.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Kroc Center rules to provide a safe environment.
• Provide quality service, leadership and mentoring in classes.
• Operate facilities, equipment and supplies safely.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety and equipment systems.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the instruction area.
• Keep maintenance records and report repairs as needed.
• Attend scheduled team and staff meetings.
• Ensure safety standards and certifications are met.
• Represent the Center at community events to promote programs.
