Job summary

Break Time Convenience Store is seeking a Sales Associate to assist customers, process transactions, perform food preparation, and maintain a clean, stocked store. You will operate POS systems, handle cash with accuracy, and follow safety procedures to ensure a positive shopping experience during your shift.

Candidates should be 18+, reliable with flexible availability (weekends/holidays), able to perform basic math, and eager to learn. Prior retail or food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and complete shift reports.

Responsibilities

• Working with customers - greet and thank each customer; provide fast and friendly service; conduct accurate transactions.
• Merchandising and sales - price, promotions, stocking, keep merchandise clean and fronted.
• Communication - maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Teamwork - work as a team while adhering to regulations and store policies.
• Working with technology - use POS, computers, and handheld devices; count product and balance cash.
• Training - assist in training new employees on policies; loss control functions.
