Job summary

PJW Whelihan’s Pub + Restaurant in Cherry Hill, NJ is hiring servers. You will warmly greet guests, take orders, upsell specials, and ensure exceptional guest experiences during high-volume periods.

Role requires TIPS or RAMP certification, basic math, and reliable, presentable demeanor. Weekend availability is preferred; training is provided, with opportunities to grow within PJW Restaurant Group.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
• Must be TIPS or RAMP certified before first non-training shift.
• Possess basic math skills and handle money with a POS system.
• Work standing for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Ability to lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 20–25 pounds.
• Weekend availability (Fri–Sun) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests and ensure they feel comfortable.
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
• Make recommendations guests will enjoy.
• Answer questions about food, beverages and services.
• Properly ID guests 35 and younger.
• Take and enter food and beverage orders in the POS.
• Deliver food and beverages timely.
• Perform side work at shift start/end.
