Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a part-time, on-site group fitness instructor to support YMCA programs focused on health, wellness, and community engagement. You will lead classes in a safe, welcoming environment, guiding participants of all skill levels and promoting healthy living within the larger YMCA mission.

The role requires Pilates certification and current CPR/First Aid or the ability to obtain them within specified timelines. You will participate in staff meetings and adhere to all safety policies.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience instructing group wellness classes is preferred.
• National certification in Pilates instruction (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, ISSA, NETA, etc.) or equivalent within six months of employment.
• Additional certifications in other fitness areas (Pilates, Yoga, ZUMBA, etc.) are required.
• Certifications due within the first week: Bloodborne Pathogens and Hazardous Communications.
• Certifications due within the first 60 days: YMCA Healthy Lifestyles, CPR, First Aid, AED.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically lead an energizing, safe, and educational group fitness class as directed by the supervisor.
• Answer questions from members and promote healthy living goals.
• Build genuine relationships with members and foster a sense of community.
• Modify class to meet varied health, ability, and cultural needs.
• Document accurate class attendance records on time.
• Attend required staff meetings and follow YMCA policies.
