Job summary

City Works is seeking a Host in Pittsburgh to warmly welcome guests, manage wait times, enter guest names, and guide guests to their tables. You will help keep the dining area tidy and assist with To-Go orders as needed.

We value energetic, upbeat teammates who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must be at least 18, with restaurant or customer service experience and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 6 months of restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to create memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with fellow team members and management to provide exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and anticipate their needs.
• Enter guest names into the computer system and inform guests of wait times.
• Show guests to their tables and bid farewell as they leave.
• Refill beverages and perform light housekeeping duties (cleaning glass and menus).
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and orderly.
• Follow all steps of service and be proficient with reservation, telephone, paging, and voicemail systems.
• Support To-Go orders as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
