Job summary

The Rinks is seeking a Hockey Instructor Level 1 at Honda Center in Lakewood. You will support Learn to Play and initiation programs, help with on-ice skill development, and coach Rink teams with a focus on safety and fun.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have 3 years of hockey experience, USA Hockey credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and a reliable, team‑oriented mindset. The role requires early arrival and evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3 years of hockey experience and on-ice skills.
• USA Hockey Level 1 or 2 coaching credential.
• Must ice skate and can lift up to 25 pounds while skating.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of USA Hockey ADM; valid driver's license and insurance.
• Customer service oriented; team player with a positive attitude.
• Marketing/promo event experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Learn to Play Hockey programming on and off-ice activities, including check-in and gear assistance.
• Assist Initiation programs with skill development stations.
• Support all rink programs and clinics and coach assigned Rink teams.
• Be a positive ambassador for hockey; coach across programs and events.
• Arrive 30 minutes before sessions and prep ice 15 minutes prior.
• Meet with Head Coach/Instructor to review on-ice plan and interact with players and parents.
