Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA is seeking an energetic group fitness instructor to lead safe, engaging wellness classes that align with YMCA policies. You will support members in reaching health goals and foster community connections within the branch.

Responsibilities include teaching sessions, answering member questions, maintaining attendance records, and responding to emergencies. Certification requirements and a readiness to obtain YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days are

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, AED, national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification.
• Certification in areas of expertise.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.
• At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Answers questions from members to support goals related to healthy living.
• Builds authentic relationships with members and connects them with the YMCA.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures and responds to emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
