Job summary

Dream Opportunity, a global nonprofit based in Newark, NJ, seeks an energetic Event Host / Emcee to facilitate career exposure events for students, welcome attendees, guide conversations, and keep the program on track. This freelance, part-time role offers in-person or virtual events with potential paid travel.

Ideal candidates have experience in event hosting, public speaking, education, or youth programs and enjoy engaging diverse student audiences. Flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a host, emcee, actor, presenter, educator, workshop facilitator, or youth program leader is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Host career exposure events featuring professionals from leading global companies.
• Facilitate panels, workshops, student activities, and Q&A sessions.
• Introduce speakers and guide conversations with corporate professionals.
• Engage students and encourage participation throughout the experience.
• Bring energy, warmth, professionalism, and personality to every event.
• Attend rehearsals and training sessions before events.
• Learn and deliver structured event scripts and workshop materials.
• Adapt delivery based on audience and event environment.
• Collaborate with our team to continuously improve workshops and student experiences.
• Provide feedback after events to help strengthen future programming.
