Job summary

Westlake Elementary in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Part-Time Elementary PE Teacher to provide physical education for grades TK-5. You’ll lead engaging activities for up to 32 students, promoting fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

Experience teaching elementary students, especially in PE.
Knowledge of fitness, sports, and games for elementary students.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging physical education lessons for grades TK-5.
Facilitate structured games and activities that promote fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Adapt activities for varying abilities and ensure safety of all students.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.
Manage classroom behavior according to school policies.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development and well-being.
Maintain and organize PE equipment and supplies.
