Job summary

Purple Cow Restaurants is seeking a Bartender to deliver an energetic, welcoming guest experience at the bar and throughout the restaurant. You will prepare and serve beverages efficiently while engaging guests with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, stocked bar, handling cash and card transactions, verifying IDs, and working with the team in a fast-paced environment. Prior bartending experience is preferred, with training available.

Qualifications

• Strong sense of guest service and urgency.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Basic math and cash‑handling skills.
• Ability to stay focused and organized in a high‑volume environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Prior bartending experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).
• Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming bar experience
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws
• Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a personal bank
• Count back change correctly to guests
• Communicate drink orders clearly with team members and management
• Restock bar supplies and complete side work as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times
