Job summary

Sunny Day Child Care & Preschool, Inc. seeks an Assistant Teacher to support teachers and the director in creating a caring, safe environment.

You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, observe and relay children's interests to staff and parents, and assist in building positive relationships with families. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and ongoing development planning to maintain high-quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, Monday

Qualifications

• High energy and ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; basic computer skills.
• Solid understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• CPR certification for infants/children; background check clearance; health screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transitions from home to the center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan for ongoing quality improvement.
