Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is hiring for an entry-level production role at our Wisconsin plant. You will screen and inspect products, sort into combinations, and move materials between stations using a hand push cart. Training others and performing additional duties support the production line.

• Screens and inspects product for paper, foreign material, etc., after emptying product onto table.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

PCI PPE, push cart, safety knife and any additional tools as deemed necessary by the Operations team.

The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING REQUIREMENT:

Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, PCI PPE required.

MANDATORY TRAINING/COMPETENCY TO BE EARNED:

Proper lifting, PPE and GMP.
