Job summary

RISA is looking for a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to engineer and sustain the endpoint security platforms protecting an Intelligence Community customer—Trellix HBSS, Tanium, and Carbon Black. You will own designs, configurations, and sustainment, coordinating with vendors and the customer on enterprise security needs.

You will lead, document, and refine security policies, with DoD-aligned processes and Linux-based deployments. On-site role in St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of cyber security experience (or equivalent).
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain polygraph after hire.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification required within 6 months.
• Experience with enterprise endpoint security tools and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and sustainment for endpoint security solutions across the enterprise.
• Design configurations, perform installations, and enforce system standards.
• Configure and install security products on Linux systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers to implement enterprise-wide security capabilities.
• Recommend scalable hardware, software, and implementation approaches.
• Assist with secure architectures, testing, and deployment.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, and remediation documentation.

Cyber Security Engineer III - Endpoint Security Services

Location: St. Louis, MO - on site

Time Type: Full time, Exempt

Clearance Required to Start: Active TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required)

Additional Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government polygraph (post-hire requirement)

Travel: Up to 10%, local

Salary Range: $101,000 – $111,000

RISA is hiring a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to engineer and sustain the endpoint security platforms protecting an Intelligence Community customer's enterprise - Trellix (HBSS), Tanium, Carbon Black, and what comes next. You will own them from design and configuration through sustainment, and work directly with vendors and the customer on what the enterprise runs. You will talk to the owner here, not a recruiting queue.

What You Will Do

• Provide engineering and sustainment support for the enterprise's endpoint security solutions.


• Design system configurations, direct installations, and define, document, and enforce system standards.


• Configure and install security products on Linux.


• Work with vendors and the customer to research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide security capabilities.


• Recommend hardware, software, and implementation approaches sized for present and future capacity.


• Assist with the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of secure architectures.


• Oversee sustainment and advanced configuration - policy management, database administration, and security management tools.


• Lead the reporting, documentation, and investigation of security incidents, and the corrective measures that follow.

What You'll Bring

• S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI.


• Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Government polygraph after hire.


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 10 years of technical experience in cyber security; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


• Current DoD 8140.01 / 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, and CSSP Infrastructure Support within 6 months of hire.


• Working knowledge of enterprise endpoint security tools - all or some of HBSS (Trellix), Carbon Black Response/Protection, Microsoft ATA, and Tanium.


• Strong working knowledge of administering applications in a Linux environment.


• Experience on large-scale enterprise or global networks in a high-paced, diverse environment.


• DoD Architecture Framework and related DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.


• Experience planning, designing, and evaluating security systems and architectures, and reporting to senior management and customers.

Nice to Have

• CSSP Infrastructure Support certification already in hand.


• Linux certifications.


• Windows enterprise Active Directory architecture and VMware virtualization.
