Job summary

Eagle Integrated Services (EIS) seeks a Journeyman Endpoint Engineer to migrate and implement Microsoft Defender for Endpoint across 3,000 Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints at USUHS in Bethesda, MD. The role is hands-on, handling onboarding, agent migration, configuration, and the removal of legacy Trellix technologies.

You'll deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot across Windows, macOS, and Linux using SCCM/MECM, Intune, JAMF, and scripting, while maintaining DISA STIGs and DoD security

Qualifications

• 3–5 years supporting endpoint administration and software distribution.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and IAT II-compliant certification.
• Hands-on with enterprise endpoint-management tools and deployment.
• Experience Windows/macOS/Linux endpoint administration and security deployments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Defender for Endpoint across Windows, macOS, and Linux devices using automated methods.
• Develop deployment packages, scripts, policies, and configurations for onboarding.
• Monitor enrollment, agent health, and security telemetry; remediate onboarding failures.
• Remove legacy Trellix/ ePO components after Defender implementation and validation.
• Configure BitLocker/FileVault and verify encryption status with escrowed keys.
• Troubleshoot deployment and policy issues across OS platforms.
• Support macOS security extensions and Linux Defender deployments via scripting.
• Maintain DISA STIG and DoD cybersecurity compliance across endpoints.
• Document configurations; support phased migrations and pilot groups.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and service desk teams.
