Job summary

Biola University, Inc. invites applications for the University Endowed Chair- Engineering in the School of Science, Technology and Health. The chair will lead engineering programs, shape curricula, and strengthen ABET accreditation with industry involvement and research.

You will oversee labs, mentor faculty, and collaborate with the Associate Dean to align programs with industry trends, mission, and ABET standards. A Ph.D. and Christian commitment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering from an accredited institution; preference for Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical.
• Strong Christian commitment and ability to integrate faith and science.
• Commitment to high-quality, innovative instruction in student-centered settings.
• Experience leading ABET accreditation and program development.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering programs to advance ABET accreditation and curriculum alignment.
• Oversee undergraduate labs, curriculum design, and assessment of learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and stakeholders on program goals.
• Represent engineering programs at admissions events, alumni relations, and partnerships.
• Support professional development and mentorship of faculty.
