The University at Buffalo invites applications for the Slee Chair in Music, an advanced Assistant or early Associate Professor in music composition with a focus on electronic music. The role includes teaching a 2+2 load across undergraduate and graduate levels and developing new courses within the Music Recording and Production program.

Facilities include the Intermedia Lab with a 22-speaker Meyer Audio array. Applicants should have a Ph.D./DPhil/D.M.A.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D./DPhil/D.M.A. in Music Composition or related field.
• At least four years of post-graduate college or university level teaching experience.
• Record of accomplishment in electronic and instrumental composition.
• Evidence of high-profile performances or commissions.

• Teach a 2+2 load of composition studio, graduate and undergraduate seminars, and general education courses.
• Develop new upper-level courses to expand Music Recording and Production curriculum.
• Collaborate with faculty to direct use of Intermedia Lab and related facilities.
