Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Neurological Surgery seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will provide clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient setting as a neurosurgeon, including an active neurosurgical clinical practice at offsite locations, including Advent Hinsdale.

Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Compensation and academic rank are dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

• Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have a medical doctorate or equivalent.
• Must have or be eligible for permanent medical licensure in the State of Illinois and Indiana.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible by The American Board of Neurological Surgery.
• Have additional sub-specialty fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery.
• Candidates with dual training in skull base or cerebrovascular neurosurgery are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings as a neurosurgeon.

• Engage in teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.
