Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Supervisor Nursing for the Endoscopy Unit at St. Francis Downtown. This role balances patient care with unit leadership, mentoring staff and ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position requires a BSN, an active RN license, and relevant certifications. The candidate will lead a team, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to performance improvement and policy adherence within a busy endoscopy setting.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred.
• Current RN license in the state they work or compact (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire).
• Certifications vary by unit; PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC (preferred).
• National Board Certification – Specialty (preferred).
• Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises the nursing team and clinical staff.
• Supports managers and directors on unit goals and initiatives.
• Balances clinical duties with administrative responsibilities.
• Planning and supervising unit/department readiness for surveys.
• Provides mentorship and clinical resources to staff.
• Demonstrates high reliability and adherence to safety principles.
• Facilitates change management and performance improvement projects.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies and patient care standards.
