Job description

The Endoscopy Technologist Lead assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. This role is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy Technician Lead is responsible for the precepting of new Endoscopy Technicians, ensuring that they are competent to perform the duties required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  2. Provide service-related activities supporting direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room before and during endoscopic procedures.
  3. Rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments as required.
  4. Establish and maintain sterile fields, assist with case pulling, and support endoscopy procedures.
  5. Maintain knowledge of sterilization concepts, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience

3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technologist is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

Relevant certifications as required.
