Job summary

CHRISTUS Health's endoscopy unit seeks an Endoscopy Technician to assist in coordinating patient care. You will prepare, maintain, and clean endoscopy equipment and may assist in invasive procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile fields, pulling cases, and rotating shifts with on-call availability. Prior OR or endoscopy experience and a BLS are preferred; GI certification from SGNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.
• GI Tech experience preferred.

Summary

Assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides various service related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.
• Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments.
• Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques and endoscopy instruments.

Job Requirements

Education/Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred
• GI Tech experience preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
