Job summary

USPI Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a motivated full-time Endoscopy Technician. The role involves assisting the endoscopy team, arranging sterile setup, and passing items as needed during procedures.

The technician helps with patient preparation and movement, maintains inventory, and ensures clean endoscopy rooms. Requires 2+ years in an endoscopy setting and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in established endoscopy center.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous experience in ambulatory surgical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act and facility policies.
• Demonstrate nursing theory and practice to care for patients during procedures.
• Provide routine nursing care using age-specific and universal precautions.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals and report patient status during procedures.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and families clearly in written and verbal form.
• Seek educational tools to broaden knowledge on diseases and best practices.
• Collaborate with Infection Control to prevent infections.
• Support continuous improvement of quality and service.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.
