Endoscopy Technician - Scope Washer - St. Mary's Hospital

**Full time endoscopy scope washer - M-F 6:30am-3pm shift, call coverage possible**

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

Perform competent inspection and reprocessing of all re-usable endoscopy supplies, instruments, and equipment in accordance with policy and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for reprocessing in Endoscopy. Ensure that all re-usable endoscopy supplies, instruments, and equipment are tracked and stored in accordance with policy and procedures.

Required Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED

BLS (preferred upon hire)

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

Work experience with sterilization/high level disinfection, automated endoscope re-processor (AER), and infection control principles is preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of infection control principles. Ability to maintain accurate documentation as required. Ability and wiliness to float throughout BSR Endoscopy as directed.
