Job Summary and Qualifications

**Call availability required for evenings/nights and weekends (45 minutes for call response)**

The Endoscopy Technician functions asmemberofEndoscopylab team under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

What you will do in this role:

• Performs assigned duties for infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient care populations.
• Uses therapeutic communications in daily practice.
• Performs all duties utilizing Patient Experience Strategies such as AIDET
• Participates in department initiatives, process improvement and safety initiatives.
• Promotes a supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment.
• Orientation of new employees as assigned
• Supports the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Maintains inventory and instruments as assigned
• Gathers supplies, equipment for procedures
• Cleans and disinfects rooms and endoscopes utilizing PPE, Universal Precautions, and equipment specific guidelines
• Assists the RN and team in procedures
• Cross train to Day Surgery and other areas as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Must have experience in high level procedures - ERCPs, EBUS, GI Bleed, etc.
• Experience in an endoscopy setting required
• Previous Endoscopy Tech experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
