Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year related clinical experience with cleaning scopes.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support certification required.
• Preferred: 2+ years as Endoscopy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Endoscopy rooms with supplies and equipment per procedure; follows physician preference list.
• Assists physician with procedures as directed with precision.
• Maintains and cleans endoscopy equipment and supplies; keeps carts stocked and organized.
• Transfers patients to and from units or departments as needed.
• Accompanies patients to lobby on discharge when necessary.
• Assists with ordering supplies and checks linen carts daily.
• Cleans and remakes stretchers; prepares areas for the next day.
• Aware of emergency codes and assists with emergencies under RN supervision.
• Adheres to Medical Center policies and reprocessing scope procedures.
