Job summary

GI Associates, LLC in Stevens Point, WI is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join our Endoscopy Center team. The part-time role supports physicians during procedures and handles scope processing, specimen handling, and care coordination with RN/CRNA.

Responsibilities include pre/post-procedure patient care, room turnover, equipment maintenance, and accurate EMR documentation. BLS is required; GTS certification must be completed within three years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• GTS (GI Technical Specialist) certification required within three years of employment.
• GI technician experience or recent OR/ambulatory surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist MD intra-procedure by preparing equipment and communicating with physician.
• Process and reprocess scopes and associated equipment; maintain cleanliness and organization of procedure rooms.
• Collect, label, document, and track specimens and ensure final reports are received.
• Assist RN/CRNA with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care duties; transport patients and document care in EMR.
• Restock and refill supplies; maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned and serve as a resource to coworkers.
