Job summary

Middlebrook Surgery Center, Knoxville, TN, seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support patient-centered care. You will prepare rooms, assist teams, disinfect equipment, and ensure proper inventory and documentation for efficient endoscopic procedures.

Required: 0–2 years healthcare experience; preferred: 1–3 years endoscopy, BCLS; CMA/CNA/CPCT certifications valued. Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or sterile processing program preferred.
• 0-2 years of healthcare experience required.
• 1-3 years of previous endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure rooms and ensures proper setup of equipment for endoscopic procedures.
• Assists physicians and teams by supporting patient positioning during procedures.
• Cleans and high-level disinfects endoscopes per guidelines and policies.
• Troubleshoots equipment to minimize procedural delays.
• Documents specimens and cultures with proper labeling and handling.
• Maintains inventory and removes expired items as needed.
• Keeps decontamination records and equipment maintenance logs up to date.
• Supports scheduling, preoperative calls, and medical record organization.
