Middlebrook Surgery Center in Knoxville, TN seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support high-quality, patient-centered care. You will prepare rooms, assist during procedures, disinfect equipment, and maintain supplies with precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program preferred.
• 0-2 years of healthcare experience required.
• 1-3 years of previous endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure rooms and ensures equipment setup for endoscopic procedures.
• Assists physician and staff with patient positioning during procedures.
• Cleans, decontaminates, and disinfects endoscopic equipment per guidelines.
• Troubleshoots endoscopes and related equipment to minimize delays.
• Handles specimens and cultures with proper documentation.
• Maintains inventory and removes expired items as needed.
• Maintains department records and quality control documentation.
• Assists with scheduling, preoperative calls, and medical record organization.
• Transports patients and supplies as required for procedures.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
