Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant Course, two years of nursing school, or other recent comparable education.
• At least one year, preferably more, experience as an Endoscopy technician/assistant.

Responsibilities

• Readies rooms and gear for endoscopy work.
• Gathers tools such as endoscopes, light sources, and video monitors.
• Checks equipment functions and assists doctors and nurses during procedures.
• Hands tools or samples as needed and monitors patient condition.
• Cleans and sterilizes gear after each procedure following infection control protocols.
