Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician for the day shift to support the GI, Pulmonary, and ENT service lines. You will assist with endoscopic procedures, manage equipment, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of endoscopy equipment, and a flexible schedule including on-call shifts. BLS certification is required or obtainble on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of endoscopic equipment and infection control procedures.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Flexible availability for scheduled and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for scheduled and emergent endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures handling instruments and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ensure scope handling and transport post-procedure per infection control standards and DNV requirements.
• Stock and maintain supplies for GI, Pulmonary, and ENT service lines.
