Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is hiring an Endoscopy Technician II to support safe and effective GI and endoscopy procedures. In this role, you will prepare equipment and maintain a clean environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting in procedures, handling instruments, and cleaning equipment. No experience is necessary but Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 30 days of starting. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well‑organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Responsibilities

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
