Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience in endoscopy.
• Understanding of endoscope mechanics and sterilization protocols.
• On-the-job training or CFER certification path.
• Ability to stand for long hours and assist with patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain and disinfect specialized equipment, assist clinicians during diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
• Prepare endoscopes, light sources, cameras, and monitors before procedures, ensuring everything works safely.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures like colonoscopies and upper endoscopies by handling tools and monitoring equipment.
• Clean, decontaminate, and perform high-level disinfection on delicate endoscopes following strict manufacturer rules.
• Help position patients comfortably, ease their anxiety, and monitor vital signs or reactions.
• Collect, label, and document biopsy specimens, while tracking and restocking medical supplies.
