Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to join our Endoscopy team in a full-time role.

The technician identifies and secures instrumentation for endoscopy, assists during procedures, and handles reprocessing and disinfection of scopes and equipment, with duties including inventory and restocking. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS Provider Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and anticipate case needs; set up carts and procedure room; ensure supplies ready.
• Prepare, maintain and clean equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain Automated Endoscope Reprocessors and GI Endoscopes; perform high‑level disinfection; log service/repairs.
• Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and medical supplies.
• Stock supplies used in endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

St. Luke's Health System has an exciting opportunity for an Endoscopy Technician 1 to join our Boise Endoscopy team in a full-time position! The Endoscopy Technician 1 is responsible for identifying and securing instrumentation and equipment needed for endoscopy procedures as well as assisting with that procedure.

What You Can Expect:

• Assesses and anticipates the needs for a specific case to include (but not limited to) setting up carts prior to procedure, opening procedure room, maintaining integrity of supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
• Assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
• Performs care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Re-processors and GI Endoscopes, including high-level disinfection. Keep service and repair logs.
• Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and other medical supplies.
• Performs inventory and re-stock supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
