Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the endoscopy department under RN supervision. You will assist with care coordination, prepare and maintain equipment, and ensure a clean, safe GI procedure area for procedures.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative care environment in a leading Ohio hospital system. Positions are full-time in the day shift with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency required.
• Effective Communication Skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

The Endoscopy Technician, in accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies and assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Minimum Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency required.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
• Effective Communication Skills
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
