Job summary

Surgicare of Sugar Land, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures under the supervision of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will help maintain a sanitary environment and ensure the readiness of the endoscopy unit.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient.
Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.
