Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking an Endoscopy Tech (ENDO) to support the Endoscopy Unit under RN direction. You will assist with procedures, reprocess endoscopes, and help prepare patients for endoscopy in a safe, aseptic environment.

The role includes setting up the room, monitoring patients, assisting physicians with scopes and specimens, and transporting patients as needed. High School diploma and BLS are required, with 6 months patient care experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of patient care experience as nursing assistant, medical assistant, surgical assistant or other equivalent position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; if not certified, obtain within 30 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assist Endoscopy team with procedures and reprocessing of endoscopes.
• Set up procedural area with supplies and equipment following aseptic technique; clean and close down room after procedure.
• Prepare patient for endoscopy and monitor vital signs.
• Assist physician with scopes, accessories and specimen collection; transport patient to/from procedure room.
• Position patient for specific procedure and coach patient as needed.
