Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to perform direct patient care and assist with endoscopic procedures under supervision. You will transcribe data, enter orders, and help manage equipment and supplies in the Endoscopy department.

Requirements include a high school diploma and AHA BLS certification; GI Technical Specialist training within 90 days of hire is required. Weekend/On-Call duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Completion of GI Technical Specialist (GTS) program within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and washers.
• Support workflow by restocking rooms and assisting with transfers of patients.
• Assist gastroenterologist during endoscopic procedures and document in logs.
• Maintain quality logs and participate in department in-services.
• Accurate specimen labeling, documentation, and transport to lab.
