Job summary

HonorHealth’s Endoscopy department in Mesa, AZ seeks a dedicated professional to assist physicians and nurses during GI and pulmonary procedures. You will prepare rooms, verify equipment, troubleshoot devices, and collect specimens while monitoring patients’ vital signs to ensure safety and successful outcomes.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and preferred GI experience; SGNA program completion is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• SGNA Associates Program preferred.
• 1 year GI experience preferred; 6 months direct patient care or endoscopy experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and registered nurses during GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms according to endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements.
• Perform safety checks to verify equipment function; troubleshoot endoscopes and devices.
• Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes or other endoscopic instruments.
• Collect specimens from patients and monitor vital signs with devices.
