Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the gastroenterology team. You will assist with ERCP and advanced GI procedures, maintain equipment, manage supplies, and participate in safety and reprocessing training.

A HS diploma, 5 years of clinical experience, BLS, and GI Technical Specialist certifications are required. This role collaborates with nurses and physicians and requires budget awareness and ongoing competency education per SGNA standards.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent; 5 Years relevant clinical experience including ERCP wires and feeding tube placements.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• GI Technical Specialist (GTS) and Advanced GI Technical Specialist (AGTS) program completions required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and procure equipment and supplies for the unit.
• Monitor the Endoscopy environment and assist Endoscopy Tech roles.
• Assist gastroenterologist during ERCP and advanced procedures (ERCP, stents, EMR, EUS, FNA).
• Participate in budget processes and equipment purchases.
• Ensure safety, training, and reprocessing competency per SGNA standards.
