Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is looking for an Endoscopy Technician II to support patient care in the GI procedure areas. Under supervision of a physician or nurse, you will assist with procedures and equipment, while maintaining endoscope reprocessing and disinfection standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus Endoscopy experience or direct patient care experience. BCLS certification is required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum one year Endoscopy Technician I experience or two years direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of electronic applications and medical terminology.
• Certification programs (CNA/EMT/Phlebotomy) or equivalent health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care during GI procedures and with endoscope equipment.
• Support physicians and team in endoscopy and recovery areas.
• Maintain competency in endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfection.
