Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT seeks an Endoscopy Technician I to support entry-level endoscopic procedures under RN supervision. You will prepare rooms, assist with procedures, and help maintain infection prevention standards in diverse settings.

Responsibilities include patient safety, rapid equipment turnover, specimen handling, and transport of patients as needed, with opportunities to work across acute care areas.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience for Level II includes leadership project.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care for entry-level endoscopic procedures while following safety protocols.
• Assembles and prepares equipment; documents using ProVation.
• Assists with room turnover and proper handling of specimens and sharps.
• Maintains infection prevention and high-disinfection standards.
• Operates specialized equipment in various procedural settings including ICU and OR.
• Transports inpatients between departments as needed.
