Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Part-time Endoscopy Technician to monitor endoscopy instruments, ensure high-level disinfection, and support procedures under supervision. The role involves prepping rooms, assisting with patient positioning, and maintaining instrument readiness for gastroenterology procedures.

A team-oriented, flexible, and communicative candidate is required. Required: High School Grad or equivalent; BLS certification preferred; prior GI or endoscopy exposure is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies.
• Follows procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical/biological monitoring.
• Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice under supervision.
• Provides supportive care to patients under direct supervision of RN and physician.
• Prepares endoscopy room with supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Ensures proper handling of specimens and equipment before procedures.
• Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy.
• Maintains an orderly environment and anticipates physician needs during procedures.
• Demonstrates setup proficiency for multi-specialty endoscopy procedures.
