Qualifications

• BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• EMT or CNA certification is preferred.

• Perform manual cleaning of endoscopes per guidelines and Infection Control program.

This is a Casual status also known as a per diem Endoscopy Tech position located at Scripps Encinitas. It has a varied shift but the start time is typically 6:45am. There is rotating evening and weekend call. The training schedule is ideally full time, but we can consider part time as well. Requested availability is twice per two week pay period.

Join our Endoscopy team in Encinitas where you will assist in the performance of Endoscopy procedures within scope of practice and under direct supervision of Registered Nurse/Physician. Prepares patients for assessment, procedure, and post-op observation as per standards of patient care and specific procedure to be performed. Conducts manual cleaning of endoscopes per manufacturing guidelines and/or Infection Control Flexible Endoscopy program.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Required Certification/Registration: BLS through the American Heart Association

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: EMT or CNA. S.G.N.A. Associates Program-GI Technical Specialist Certification Previous procedural technical experience. ERCP, EUS experience a plus
