Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring an Endoscopy Tech to assist with endoscopic procedures and manage instrumentation under surgeon supervision. The role supports a collaborative team with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes, including cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and related equipment.

Workdays are weekdays only with possible early mornings or later evenings; no holidays or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred two years’ experience in endoscopy.
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures under supervision.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain endoscopes and instrumentation.
• Facilitate patient flow and room turnover.
• Stock procedure rooms and perform clerical duties.

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Endoscopy Tech at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft

The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
