Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Specialist Endoscopy in Akron, OH. The role involves direct nursing care in the Endoscopy unit under the Endoscopy Manager, with responsibilities spanning pre-op to post-op care and cross-training in additional areas such as OR and radiology.

Qualified candidates will have Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least two years of nursing experience, with preferred Endoscopy experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Ohio (RN)
• BLS and ACLS certification required (within 6 months of hire)
• Two years nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for endoscopy and post-procedure recovery
• Assess physical and psychological status and monitor pre-op vitals
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and document findings
• Ensure proper consents, charting, and patient data are complete
• Cross-train to operate in OR for ERCPs and other areas as needed
• Maintain patient privacy, safety and infection control practices
• Complete required education and department competencies
