Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care for acutely ill patients in the Endoscopy unit. The role requires applying the nursing process, coordinating care, and collaborating with patients, families, and health-team members to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, IL RN license, and at least one year of relevant experience with BLS and ACLS.

Formación

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for new hires after 01/01/2011
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
One year of experience in a similar role
CPR – Basic Life Support
CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Basic computer knowledge
English communication skills, both written and spoken
Excellent customer service skills
Complies with Illinois Nursing Practice Act and ANA Standards
Ability to arrange interpreter services when needed
Flexibility for scheduling including overtime and on-call

Responsabilidades

Collects and analyzes data, plans and coordinates care, and evaluates patient outcomes
Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately
Involves patient and family in care and discharge planning
Performs nursing care with emphasis on patient safety and minimizing errors
Assesses and educates on pain management for patient and family
Communicates hand-offs to next healthcare provider
Assumes on-call assignments
